Its a shame. I love the VU+ Duo. Having to use the old DM800 now. Pales in comparison, so slow. One tuner The VU+ Duo I have was bought March 2010. The stock today, are they the same model or have they changed anything do you knoW? CHeers

Nobody else has a VU i know. They all have DM clones. They're a bunch of cheapstakes. Didnt get anything off the putty to serial port. So not looking too good.

No, had it since March 2010. They said if it was mainboard, too expensive. Power supply is cheap to replace. Hes had a few fail like this now.

My reseller has suggested connecting a serial cable and running putty. It should give an error code. Has anybody had any news of this before?

I believe so. There was no cables connected. Just the power cable. I powered it on, and after a couple of seconds, the flash of light.

I have. Nothing happens. I connected the hard drive back to see if it would spin. It does. The only sign of life I have is the hard drive spinning. Red light on the front display and the Dolby digital output on the back is lit up red.

If I go to a channel and it gets decoded, u can guarantee in bout 10 secs it will reboot. I've unmounted the HDd but not removed yet. It's still 52 c temp. Is that okay??? Anyone got any ideas please

The box is on for about 20 seconds then it reboots again. I noticed on the skin that the CPU is at 97% and then 100% Maybe that is one of the causes ? Any ideas I can get to the root of the cause?

Ok, half way through watching something the box has just turned itself off and rebooted. The old bug is back. Anyway I can find out what the going wrong please. I know now it's not the image

THanks all for the help. The two USB sticks that i've used in the past didnt do the job. Got a new 4gb one today and it worked straight away. Really strange one, this was. Cheers

Still fails. Just says reading USB........ Hangs and then after a while starts then reboots etc

Hi, got a Duo running VTI 3.0 Everything has been running fine. I've not updated any software but now its started rebooting. It doesnt give the green screen and as far as I can tell its not logging the error. I've put VTI3.1 onto a USB and booted up and its stuck on Reading USB before blinking starting and then hanging on Reading USB. please please please. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, I'm using this excellent theme and EMC 2.0.2. I've noticed that if you set listbox skinable to yes, everthing to the right of the name is pushed off the edge of the screen. Is there a fix for this please? CHeers
