  • Automatic Image Full Backup and ULTIMO 4K issue

    Hello guys,

    I am running two boxes on VTI currently: DUO2 and ULTIMO 4K and I am quite happy.
    I like to perform periodic full image backups for potential recovery.
    Unluckily, I cannot find build-in option in the image.
    Then I went for the Automatic Image Full Backup which is quite flexible.
    It works on the DUO2 straight forward, but it doesn't like ULTIMO 4K.

    Is there any working alternative please?
    Mostly I do daily backups, with the week frame.

    I really appreciate of your help.

  • It work also fine on the Ultimo4k, you should ask for advice to fix your issue here:

  • Did you try to restore a backup you made with automatic fullbackup? Because it didn`t work with my ultimo4K...

    If it doesn't work maybe any cron task and the script built-in? The facility in automation full backup is integrated in VIX against VTI. Maybe that's the way for developers. It is essential, I can say....

  • I already tried with the latest version, but the backup is neither flashable via USB, nor restorable by the plugin

    "Hilfe!!!" ist kein sinnvoller Titel für einen neuen Thread, ebensowenig "VU+Zero" oder vergleichbares.

    Keine Hilfe ohne ausgefülltes Profil!
    Kein Netzwerksupport bei manueller IP-Adress-Vergabe :-)
    Kein Support bei portforwardings/ Portfreigaben

    Profil extra angepasst für die arme Emma, die sonst nichts im Leben hat :happy1:

    Then 50/50 chance ;) I can try, after return from offshore, due I try all things remotely :D Too much risk, if something goes wrong. I know, it works on DUO2, even remotely, but ULTIMO 4K is connected to my main living room :D (too much noise if something goes wrong).
    But then, the question is: how the image recovery works, from the build-in image tools? Does it work properly?
    As I said, maybe some cron job and erase of outdated backups, it sorts out that issue...

  • the build-in tool works properly ... but the advantage of automaticfullbackup is, that it should be possible to flash from harddisk...

    ...the build-in tool store the files on harddisk (if you want) but to restore the image you have to copy the filestructure to a usb stick...

    ...only on boxes with arm structure ... on Duo2 ist no problem to flash from harddisk

    Maybe there is a good reason that the VTI11 Image on 4K/ARM doesn't support the restore function anymore.
    Does anybody know details about the reason?

    Ok. Got :) I see the challenge right now.
    Have someone been trying the Backup Suite? Is still under development, or already died? Honestly, long time, I've been on that tool...

    The latest about which I saw, it was the version 20.0 GIT 109 says about the online flashing of Solo 4K , that's right.
    Have someone seen any version above GIT 110 please?

    How Solo 4K is different from ULTIMO 4K ? The architecture difference? Sorry, I have never got Solo to my hands (I think, next one shall be Ultimo because the new Unituner)
