      What is the most suitable HDMI video cable for the Duo4kse model of the Vuplus?

      Does the cable version 2 and 2.1 have a significant difference and effect in improving the image quality for the Vuplus 4k receivers?

      What is the difference between the output and input HDMI ports and when are they used?

    • HDMI can not carry a HDMI version, if certified. But for a VU+ a standard cable will be sufficient. I suggest Amazon Basic for <10€

    • A High Speed HDMI cable is sufficient. Other cables (Premium High Speed HDMI Cable or Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable) make no difference.

      Cable version 2 or 2.1 do not exist.

      HDMI out is used as an output for video and sound from the vu-box to tv or eamer.
      HDMI In is used if you want to record sound and video from another source or if you wat to send sound and video from another source via the vu-bo to your tv or beamer.

      HDMI In often makes problems. Recording via HDMI-In is limited to 720p.

      Does cable version 1.4, 2, or 2.1 make any difference in image quality for the Vuplus box 4k?
      What is the best and highest quality image resolution for VuPlus? 1080 or 2160?

      I would take the best available non-UHD format (720P or 1080P).
      If you have UHD/4K, I would have it controlled by the autoresolution plugin.

      No, type of cable has no influence to image quality. Its digital, that means, that only two states are possible: working and not working.

    • The HDMI consortium doesnt allow licensed cables to have a version in their name, so if it has, it is not licensed :)
      The VU+ receivers do not support HDMI higher than v1.4, so there is no sense to use something higher. and its not needed for the video output of any VU+ receiver
