      I had the vuplus nearly 2 months ago and sold it because the picture was rubbish in comparison to my kathrein ufs 910 (with original image).I heard video drivers have now been updated.Can someone please confirm if the picture quality has improved? I need to know and be sure because I am thinking of buying this box again.

      Any input or advice would be much appreciated.

    • Yes, drivers have been improved. Videoquality is better now and adjustable setting help improving to get the best from vu+ and you tv.

    • There isn't really a recomended settings. Youre able to finetune the settings to feed your needs, depending on your tv.

      The default settings are already an improvement with the new drivers.

      all of us need to tune this for result which are good for our personaly opinion.

      But I will put here my best result,maybe help other members.


      1) In AV settings : 576 i

      2) In Autoresolution:

      SD interlace : default
      SD progresive: 576 p

      HD interlace : 1080i
      HD progresive: 720p

      all other settings under just like write in offered value on left side.

      OFF deinterlace mode.

      3) In VE

      First 4 value on midle, 128.
      Sqaler sharpnness, 0
      Sharpnness, MAX, 256


      With this settings I make best SD picture,HD is like ever very very good.

    • I received my rev 2.2 Vu+ Duo and i must say i am impressed with picture quality, it's comparable to my old IPBOX9000 and much better than my original DM800HD.

      Also the tuner sensitivity is really good, i have nothing to complain about, this is the best receiver i ever had of all, this one is a keeper for a long time. ;)
