      HI,
      I would like to flash with VTI but would like to transfer my sat settings, bouquets, and importantly my motor settings as I have set them manually and do not want the hassle of having to do this again, Is this possible?????

      I am very expriencia with Enigma2 of DM800 one of the great advantages of VU + duo is ugrade USB Imaging (rápidido and eficás) which in my case that work with 36VDC input for antenna offset of 1.40m to around 45 satellite visible here by my area south of Lisbon ... the configurations that are saved in "etc/enigma2" and "etc/tuxbox" are copied to a folder on your PC that are copied by FTP to the VU + DUO when meto new image and I disconnect the on-off and when cranking everything comfigurado engine, satellites, and channels with favorites ...


      These settings are the channels and antenna settings to save on your PC in a folder by FTP to later be copied "etc/tuxbox" satelites .XML and channels and settings of the antenna in "etc/enigma2" ...

      Now consider that this serves to images of the same tean because there are differences in tean to another tean ...

      entonces, estas deciendo que si yo quiero usar otro image, por ejemplo VTI, tengo que guardar las carpetas 'enigma2' y 'tuxbox' y sera suficiente para restaurar los posiciones del motor y bouquets etc?
    • Easiest way is to use an settingseditor like dreamset.

    • You can not do thath all with chanell editor.
      For tuner configuration you have to save and FTP in new image file called settings which is in etc/enigma2 after that you have to plug from electricity or do hard reset (restart enigma will not do enough).
      This can be done in case you use two versions of the same image (like when you put new version of image you can take settings file from old one).

      If you have a two different images like VTI and PLI or DE it is not good to copy whole file because they are not the same.
      But there is a solution for this also.
      Open the file with some editor like notepad2 (or some other like metapad , DCC...) and copy lines which have NIMS word into from old into the new settings file and save it and plug from electricity. Paste on the same place like iz was in older one and delete old NiMS lins in new setting file (if is there any of them).
