    • Can not get singanl on Astra 28E

      Hi friends out there.

      I'am a former DM500s user, and yesterday I got my first VU+ Duo.
      On my DM500s i had a 8/1 switch and I could get 1W - 5E - !3E - 19E and 28E

      But now when I connect my VU+ Duo with the switch I dont get any signal on 28E. If I connect it back to the DM500s I get the channels correct.

      Issues:

      1: Please can someone tell me what i'amdoing wrong why do I not get signal on 28 E

      2: Can someone please in detail post how to setup my EPG 8/1 switch with VU+ Duo so I can watch 1W - 5E - 13E - 19E - 28E

      My 'image is Dream Elite the latest one.

      best regards

      Mr J

    • Can you please post your setup here?

    • Okey my setup is:

      VU+ Duo with Image: Dream Elite

      in the tuner setup I use "Simpel" DisqC A/B/C/D

      A=1W B=5E C=28E and D=19E.

      I have disconnected 13 for the moment from the LBN.

      I get good signal on 1W and 19E medium signal on 5E and no signal on 28E

      As said the switch is EPG i thing it is. (working fine on DM500S).

      I have not tried to connect 28E directly but will do that later today.

      let me know if you need further information.
    • well, I use 8/1 Switches as well but with DiseqC 1.1 settings

      whicht means:
      Seup = Advanced
      DiseqC = 1.1
      and then depending on the connections on the switch:
      LNB1 - Input 1 (you must choose the proper satellite on that one).
      Diseqc command sequence = uncommitted,......,.....
      uncommited diseqc command = Input x (depending on which inpuit the LNB is connected.)

      So for example in my case it is:
      LNB-1, Astra 19,2 - Input-1
      LNB-2, Hotbird 13 - Input 2
      LNB-3, Astra 28,2 - Input 3
      LNB-4, Astra 23,5 - Input 4
      LNB-5, Eurobird 9,0 - Input 5
      LNB-6, Sirius 4,8 - Input 6
      LNB.7, Thor 0,8°W - Input 7

      I use EMP-Centauri Switches (P.168W) which support DiseqC 1.0 - 1.1 - 1.2

      To switch the DiseqC-mode on those EMPs they must be made powerless (so disconnect the VU from Power at All if you try this).
