Hi there, the only way to break a HDMI connector ist to commit acts of violence.

Just try to check your tv/box-hdmi-settings or pull off the powercable of your equipment for a few minutes.

Not only, on my Vu+solo the hdmi connector stopped to work alone after some years, and without any act of violence (it is a female connector, impossible to touch it by mistake), the only possibility I have now to watch tv on the Vu+solo is to use the component connectors...
